About
Professional hockey players deal with a vast array of issues on and off the ice in their pursuit to reach the next level of the sport. Even when a player is performing at his peak on the ice, he may have some off-ice issues that need attention.
It is for this reason, that the Professional Hockey Players’ Association has implemented the REDLINE as a free and confidential resource that PHPA Members and their families can turn to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak to a trained professional about any issues impacting them.
Whether a player is battling through an injury, stressed, feeling anxious, feeling depressed, troubled with addiction, feeling strain on a relationship, worried about legal issues, in need of financial advice, or dealing with general mental health issues, players can call the REDLINE any time of day as a free, confidential service.
Through the Ceridian LifeWorks program, and with the assistance from Programmed Insurance Brokers, the American Hockey League, ECHL, Central Hockey League, and National Hockey League Players Association, the PHPA has initiated the REDLINE as a collection of resources, specific to professional hockey players, which can be utilized to help PHPA Members prevent situations from spiralling out of control.
The REDLINE
If you need support or are concerned about a teammate, friend, or family member, the REDLINE is here to help.
